Taking a break from uploading my very late Batanes posts to share some practice shots taken on the farm today. I’m still trying to get used to my Fuji X2o; I haven’t had a lot of time to play with it since I bought it a few months ago. I was fiddling around with it this afternoon and decided to shoot random things while I was at it.
Good thing many of the plants were in bloom — maybe because the weather’s already turned cooler? — so I had no trouble finding subjects to shoot.
I also decided to test the super macro settings on the X20. Love the bokeh on these!
I’ve been experimenting with shooting and editing in RAW lately. I only used to shoot in JPG with my ancient Canon 300D because it took so long for it to write to my memory card. Now that I’ve tried it, though, I don’t think I’m ever going back to just shooting in JPG. It’s so much easier to post process in RAW.
DoraDog tagged along while I was shooting, so I had company while practicing. I tried to get a few shots of her, but she wasn’t all that comfortable with the camera at first.
But then she started to warm up to the idea of getting a close up…
…and ended up giving my filter a few good licks for luck. 😀
I love these! Especially that first photo. And your dog is adorable! Those eyes are irresistable!
Aww, thanks! She’s the most makulit of the pack at the farm, but she’s also super sweet. 🙂
